About Me

SAMANTHA SALAZAR, MA, LPC

I enjoy working with individuals ages 8 years and older, as well as couples either as part of pre-marital counseling or during the midst of relationship difficulties.  Through our time together, we will explore many aspects of your life experiences, relationship patterns, and methods of coping to help you create the life and relationships you want.

My specialty is interpersonal effectiveness, especially with those who are currently experiencing anxiety and/or depression, or who have experienced trauma or cultural sensitivities. Some of these issues may interfere with your ability to leave your house or go to new places, to meet and connect with other people professionally or personally, to obtain training and the career you desire, and to experience joy and intimacy.

The methods we will use include a variety of techniques (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Functional Analytical Psychotherapy, Gottman Method, and Christian Counseling upon request) to meet you where you are and create a customized treatment plan.

Whatever you are experiencing, I believe that sharing the struggle in a safe, confidential environment with a trained professional who is able to offer an unbiased perspective, support and encouragement, and guide your exploration and development is one of the greatest gifts you can give yourself.
